The Museum is a story of General Douglas MacArthur and the Headquarters Allied Forces South West Pacific Area during 1942–1944, a crucial period in Australia's history. It is a story of Brisbane's unique Second World War history and the alliance between Australia and America whose value is very much in evidence today.
